Election Day: November 7, 2023
Election day is approaching! As it comes time for us to head to the polls and make our choice, MVP brings you our annual Guide To Greenwich Voting! Everything you need to know in one place before placing your vote. Follow our guide to get where you need to go on election day:
In Person or Absentee Voting?
Absentee ballots are a widely used option to still get your vote in if you can’t get to the polls on Election Day. During this municipal election, absentee ballots will be accepted from any individual that would like to apply.
In Greenwich, the process is simple. First, you must request an absentee ballot application. You can do that by visiting the Town Clerk’s office at Greenwich Town Hall, by calling the Town Clerk’s office, or by printing out the linked file on this webpage: https://www.greenwichct.gov/1187/Get-an-Absentee-Ballot
After filling out the application, return it to the Town Clerk’s office by mail or in person. Then, you will be provided with your secure, closed-envelope absentee ballot. Following the instructions on the ballot, fill it out and vote for your desired candidates. Then, drop your ballot in the mail or in the ballot box at Town Hall to submit!
More information can be found on the Town Clerk’s office webpage within the Greenwich Town Hall website.
The other option is in person voting. There’s nothing like the excitement and energy of stepping into the polling place on Election Day. This year, as always, polls will be open from 6am to 8pm on November 7th. There are 12 polling districts in Greenwich, each with their own polling place.
